Camera for a child…?

Its my son’s 4th birthday in a few weeks and I want to get him a camera. He is fascinated by ours and loves to take pictures and put them on the computer so this is something I really want to encourage, however since our camera was really expensive I don’t want to encourage him using that!!.

Can anyone recommend a camera which is really hardy, not likely to damage too much if dropped etc, fairly simple to use and reasonable picture quality? I have looked at the V tec and fisher price childrens cameras but reviewers all say the picture quality is terrible and its difficult to get a decent shot….seems pointless to me. I would rather spend the money on a properly functional camera. The problem is it will propbably take a battering from a 4 yr old! Thanks

i would suggest the Canon D10 has Shockproof, Waterproof and very good picture quality.It has long life battery
