Legal expenses cover added to my household insurance?

I have just moved home, and my solicitor gave my etails (with my consent) to an insurance broker, I was given a quote for insurance, which seemed ok, so I agreed. I have now had the policy documents, and see that I have been charged for Legal expenses cover. I didn;t ask for it, I wasn;t asked if I wanted it, but there it is. I have read the conditions of the thing, and it seems totally uselss to me. I know I can cancel it, but what I’m asking was just HOW out of order was the insurance broker here?
oh dear.. I do wish people would read the questions PROPERLY first before wading in with unnecessary aggression! If you read the question, I said I hadn;t been asked if I wanted it, and I was charged for something I wasn;t consulted about, or something I have absolutely no need for. No drama.. simple question… calm down, dear!
