Rome Shopping Malls

What is shopping like in Paris? Are there malls? What about Rome/Milan?
I’m going to France and Italy for a couple of weeks in summer and plan to do some major shopping!
(I know its probably pricy but what the heck how often does one get to go to paris)
Have you been there? Are there shopping malls like here in US? I want something thats like regular fashion store price/kind (guess, armani exchange, that type of clothes) but stores unique to europe so i can only get it there
I dont care leaving premises of Paris to find a bargain either. Ladies (and gents?) share your experiences!
I’ve been to Paris and Rome, and they definitely have malls as well as street-front stores — see the attached links for some mall locations. You will see many stores that don’t exist in the US. I attached a link for Kiabi which is an inexpensive department store in France, Italy, and Spain.
A few things to keep in mind are that clothing sizes are different in Europe, and return policies are not as liberal as in the US. European clothing is often cut differently than American clothing, and their fashion is a bit different. The French and Italians are less casual than Americans, like well-fitted (not loose) clothing, and in Paris, many women wear scarves.

Cities of the World-Rome $12.71 The ancient past and everyday life are woven harmoniously together in Rome. All over the city there are Roman monuments standing alongside later buildings. The Column of Marcus Aurelius stands at the Piazza Colonna, and is one of the most original creations of Roman sculpture. Baroque fountains and columns of old temples pervade everyday activities like dining or shopping at the market. The largest ancient structure of Rome is the Colosseum, the huge amphitheater that illustrates the power that was the Roman Empire. In the adjacent Roman Forum, civic and religious concerns were discussed by the citizens of ancient times. The colossal spa of Caracalla once held 1600 bathers at a time. Aqueducts built on arches carried water from the hills to the city, and their fragments are scattered throughout the countryside. Within the hallowed walls of the magnificent St. Peter’s church are incomparable works of art, like the Pieta by Michaelangelo. |
